Privacy Policy

ROWFORM (“we”, “us”) runs rowingformcheck.com, a tool for reviewing rowing technique from video. We’re a small team based in the European Union, and we serve rowers worldwide. We collect as little personal data as we can, and we explain the rest here in plain language.
The short version
- We only collect what we need to run the tool.
- We never sell your data, and never share it for advertising.
- Your uploaded videos and analyses are private to your account.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address, and (if you use a third-party sign-in provider) your name and profile image.
- Videos and analysis — the clips you upload and the results we generate from them, so we can show and store your work.
- Payments — when you buy credits or Pro, payment is handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation and basic billing details, but we never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data — basic technical logs (e.g. errors, device and browser type) and, where applicable, privacy-friendly analytics that help us improve the site.
Why we use it (legal bases)
We process your data to provide the service you asked for (performing our contract with you), to keep it secure and working, and to improve it (our legitimate interests). Where the law requires consent — for example for non-essential analytics cookies — we ask first.
Analytics
We may use lightweight, privacy-friendly analytics to understand which features are used and where the site can be better. This is for our own product decisions only — it’s aggregated, never sold, and never used to build advertising profiles of you.
Who we share data with
We use service providers that process personal data on our behalf under agreements requiring them to protect it. These include providers for website hosting, account sign-in, database operations, video and file storage, video processing, payments, customer communication, security, and technical logs.
If you choose a third-party sign-in option or make a payment, the relevant identity or payment provider also receives the data needed to complete that action. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
International transfers
We’re based in the EU, but some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA (for example in the United States). Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, videos, and analyses while your account is active so you can return to them. If you delete an item, or ask us to close your account, we remove the associated personal data — except limited records we must keep by law (for example payment records for tax purposes).
Your rights
If you’re in the EU/EEA (and in many other regions), you can ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Cookies
We use essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and run the site. If we add non-essential analytics cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first.
Children
ROWFORM isn’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product grows. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top.
